The star product of Banyoles - Pla de l’Estany Sports Tourism Destination is the training camp. It is a sports camp for groups, teams, sporting selections, etc., with the aim of carrying out professional training activity. This brings combined demand for accommodation, facilities and supplementary services, which generate important income for the region.

The Banyoles lake and the topology of the region have ideal conditions for the sports of rowing, canoeing, cycling, triathlon, swimming and mainly football, although the tradition of the city’s sports facilities have enabled other types of training camps to be held. The coordination of accommodation, the travel and the possibility of using the sporting facilities have enabled Banyoles to host federations and clubs of top worldwide level, as is the case with the Russian Canoeing Federation or the Cambridge Boat Club in rowing.
